We're auctioning off a variety of exciting items, unique experiences, and travel adventures to raise funds to help at-risk senior dogs nationwide find their way home or stay with the people who love them. When senior dogs enter shelters, their future is uncertain. The adoption rate for senior dogs (7 years or older) is lower than that of all other ages combined: Just over 50% find new homes. The Grey Muzzle Organization is one of the only national organizations dedicated specifically to advancing lifesaving efforts on behalf of senior dogs. We provide funding and resources to animal shelters and rescues groups nationwide.

Old dogs have something to bark about as Grey Muzzle announces more than $705,000 in grants to 78 animal welfare groups in the United States and Canada working to save and improve the lives of senior dogs. This brings the national Grey Muzzle Organization’s total grant funding to more than $3.8 million since 2008. This year’s grantees, selected from among 344 applicants, will use the funds to provide critically needed medical and dental treatment; foster and hospice care; adoption promotions; and programs to keep old dogs in their homes and out of animal shelters. Read more...
