Senior Dogs Shine on Screen: Grey Muzzle Organization Featured on Positiv TV During “Friends Fur-Ever” Month

Senior dogs are getting their moment to shine on screen! Throughout the month of August, The Grey Muzzle Organization will be featured nationwide on Positiv TV, a feel-good network dedicated to uplifting stories. As part of its PositivCares initiative, Positiv TV selected The Grey Muzzle Organization for this honor during “Friends Fur-Ever” month. Each 30-second commercial will spread awareness and joy, showcasing the value of giving old dogs new beginnings. The spots—airing an estimated 40–50 times—feature Executive Director Denise Fleck with her senior dog, Wishy, sharing the love of senior dogs and the importance of making sure every one of them finds safety, love, and a soft landing.

Viewers may also catch Denise and Wishy in brief interstitial messages such as, “This is Denise Fleck of The Grey Muzzle Organization with my best senior buddy, Wishy, and you’re watching ‘Dog Days’ on Positiv” or to the effect that “Wishy and I are going to cuddle up and watch ‘Dog Days’ on Positiv tonight, are you?”

All commercials and interstitials are being provided to The Grey Muzzle Organization free of charge by Positiv TV, giving the nonprofit a valuable opportunity to connect with a nationwide audience of animal lovers.

“We’re so grateful to Positiv TV for shining a spotlight on senior dogs,” said Fleck. “This exposure will help us reach more people who share our love for older pups and want to help them live happy, healthy, and comfortable lives.”

The “Friends Fur-Ever” programming includes Dog Days and other heartwarming, pet-friendly films, celebrating the joy and companionship pets bring to our lives. So, if you see a familiar furry face—Denise’s senior pup Wishy, for instance—while channel surfing… you know who’s behind it!
