The Grey Muzzle Organization’s Executive Director Named to Forbes 2025 “50 Over 50: Impact” List
July 31, 2025 — The Grey Muzzle Organization is proud to announce that Executive Director Denise Fleck has been named to the prestigious Forbes 2025 “50 Over 50: Impact” list. The annual list honors women over the age of 50 who are making significant contributions to society through social entrepreneurship, philanthropy, education, and advocacy.
A nationally recognized pet safety expert and longtime animal advocate, Fleck has dedicated her life to improving the lives of senior dogs. Under her leadership, The Grey Muzzle Organization has reached new heights—providing $1.57 million in grants this month to 119 animal shelters and rescues nationwide. The funds will help at risk senior dogs get the second chances they deserve.
“Being named to Forbes is such an honor, but it also a reflection of what we’ve accomplished together,” says Denise. “It’s about all the senior dogs who now get to live their best lives thanks to our supporters, grantees, and volunteers. It takes a team, and having the unwavering support of my husband, Paul, gives me the strength and heart to lead it every day.”
The 50 Over 50: Impact list is part of a larger initiative by Forbes and Know Your Value to celebrate the achievements of women who are rewriting the rules of success and proving that impact has no age limit. Fleck joins an impressive group of changemakers whose work uplifts underserved communities and advances meaningful causes around the world.
Fleck’s recognition comes as The Grey Muzzle Organization kicks off two August events: Appearing in a :30 spot throughout the month on PositivTV and the organization’s annual “Sunshine & Smiles” campaign, a nationwide fundraising effort to support dental care for senior dogs. Her inclusion on the Forbes list shines a national spotlight on the vital importance of senior pet adoption and compassionate end-of-life care.
