My dog Griffey will soon be seven years old. As a black Labrador/Weimaraner mix, he is a deep black with a splash of white on his chest. In the last year or so, I’ve noticed that his muzzle is beginning to match the fur on his chest and that small grey hairs are starting to appear around his eyes. He also tires of fetch faster than he used to, seeming content to plop down on the grass, put his ears back, and take in the smells.

A medical expense grant awarded to Safe Harbor Lab Rescue from The Grey Muzzle Organization enabled Kristina and Derek to add ten-year-old Sammi to their family. This lovely black Lab girl is simply thrilled to have found such a wonderful, loving home!
Wiley
Wiley was a stray who had been severely neglected. A grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization, made possible by our wonderful donors, helped Safe Harbor Lab Rescue pay for the medical care needed to prepare him for adoption. And adopted he was!
Kumal
The report from the shelter was extremely grim—not only was Kumal more than 11 years old, he reportedly had a very serious spinal injury, had difficulty getting up and walking, and clearly was coping with a troubling neurological deficit.
Millie Maple
You’d never know it to look at her shining coat today, but sweet senior Millie Maple arrived at St. Louis Senior Dog Project (STLSDP) with mange.
Statler and Waldorf
Adorable senior muppets Statler and Waldorf are a bonded pair, becoming homeless after their owner passed away.
Helen
Helen is a beautiful blind senior gal who arrived at Carolina Basset Hound Rescue (CBHR) with a serious case of pseudomonas in her right ear. Thanks to our generous Grey Muzzle donors, we were able to provide CBHR with a medical grant to help homeless senior dogs get adopted.
