    How Grey Muzzle Helped
    Medical Expense Grant
    Organization

Hey everyone! My name is Benson and I’m 10 years old. Funny because I don’t feel a day over three! I wanted to share my story with you because my human told me that February is National Pet Dental Health Month and boy, did my teeth need some help!

Not that I’m overly confident, but I’m a pretty cute Pomeranian mix who’s very well behaved, and yet I found myself at the Cache Humane Society. That might seem sad, but it actually turned out to be a very good thing. I had some health problems that needed to be addressed. I guess you’re supposed to brush your teeth every single day? Who knew?! When I arrived at the shelter, the people said my teeth were a “hot mess,” whatever that means. But thanks to a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization, I was able to see a canine dentist. Isn’t that amazing?

The tooth doctor fixed me up - I had to have quite a few of my teeth pulled! I was kinda bummed about it for a day or two, but then I perked back up. Big woofs and licks to the nice humans at Grey Muzzle and all of you who support them. Because of you, my teeth are clean and healthy and I can enjoy all the treats and food I want without feeling uncomfortable.

After my smile was all patched up, the search for my forever family began. The nice people at Cache Humane knew I was a good boy. They liked the little dance I did every time I needed to go potty! Also, they didn’t judge me for being a dog who loves cats. Yep, it’s true. I love them - love to snuggle them, love to play with them. Whew! Glad I got that off my chest! Anyway, after a short while, my new forever humans heard all about me and came to the shelter specifically to adopt me. I couldn’t believe it! They wanted little me! They don’t have any of those little human puppies here (they scare me a little) so it’s just us grown-ups. I love them very, very much and they love me too.

Thanks to everyone who gave me something to smile about.

    Woofs,

    Benson
