Give it to a faithful friend, then your luck will never end.” This well-known rhyme, often associated with the belief that finding a penny is a sign of good fortune is also a reminder to appreciate the smallest things. At just six pounds, this twelve year old Yorkie/Maltese mix is more of a halfpenny, or, to “coin” a phrase, the more modern version known as Haypenny. Like most seniors, she has a few health issues, though this spunky little lady isn’t letting anything slow her down in her search for a forever home. Optimistic and outgoing, her tail starts wagging as soon as she hears her name and doesn’t stop as long as she’s in your company. Following her nose, she loves exploratory walks and all the well-deserved attention she receives along the way. She also enjoys girl talk, audio books, and napping on the couch.
