    How Grey Muzzle Helped
    Keeping Senior Dogs in Homes

At 12-years-old, Pip is a constant companion for her mom and gives her great comfort. Pip’s mom is permanently disabled and on a limited, fixed income. Because Pip is with her all of the time, she didn’t believe it was necessary to have her spayed. Unfortunately, Pip developed a case of painful pyometra (uterine infection) and needed emergency surgery.

After exhausting all of her resources she was planning on selling her car to pay for Pip’s surgery. Fortunately, she was referred to the Foundation for Animal Care and Education (FACE) and they were able to provide financial assistance to Pip and her mom thanks to The Grey Muzzle Organization's grant.

After Pip received her life-saving surgery, her mom had this to say: Thank you for funding Pip’s critical surgery. Even though I was only partially able to pay, due to disability and limited funds, losing Pip was not an option. When I found out that we could receive help, all I could do was hug our doctor and thank everyone for the part they played.”

Thanks for taking care of Pip and her mom. You can help more families just like them stay together.
