    How Grey Muzzle Helped
    Hospice Program Grant

BooBoo is a 16-year-old Miniature Schnauzer who was surrendered to the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) after her owner passed away. BooBoo was very depressed and confused when she first arrived, as she had spent her entire life with her family.

The KHS veterinary team determined that BooBoo is in renal failure, and she has a short life expectancy. To ensure that BooBoo can live out the remainder of her days in comfort, she was placed in a loving fospice (foster/hospice) home. BooBoo loves sleeping next to her foster mom and follows her from room to room.

The KHS Fospice Program is supported by a grant from Grey Muzzle. KHS pays for medical care while the dogs are in fospice, and checks in with fospice families weekly to ensure that dogs like BooBoo do not die alone, but are surrounded by comfort and love.
