Meet Leo! He is one in a million, but he is also one of nearly two dozen pups – nearly all of them seniors – that arrived at the Connecticut Humane Society as part of an animal cruelty investigation.
This 13-year-old miniature poodle's sweet eyes have so much love in them, but they’ve also seen a lot – an overcrowded living situation, sore feet from housing and filth, knotted and matted fur that made it hard to see at all, lumps and bumps and bad teeth from lack of care.
Thanks to The Grey Muzzle Organization's support, Leo received all the extensive grooming, medical and behavioral care he needed over time to bring him back to total health. And not too long after he was feeling better, he found a loving forever home.
