    How Grey Muzzle Helped
    Medical Expense Grant
    Organization

Nine-year-old Faith came to Saving Pets One at a Time (SPOT) at the request of a local humane society. She had been there for three weeks and was experiencing a lot of stress. Faith and two other female "breeders" were released by their owner at the urging of local Animal Control Officers. All three dogs were used to produce puppies and lived most of their lives in crates.

When Faith arrived at SPOT, she was in dire need of dental work. In fact, all but four of her teeth had to be removed. She was also terribly afraid of people. She quivered and stiffened uncomfortably every time her foster tried to pick her up.

Thanks to a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization, Faith got the medical care she needed and the love and affection she’d been missing her entire life. After a few weeks in a calm environment and with slow, easy handling, she now relaxes easily and almost melts into the arms that cuddle her. She even enjoyed being held at the vet clinic after being spayed.

Faith’s foster family describes her as “a little love” who can’t wait to find her forever home with a family who will give her the love she’s been missing.
