In the past few years, she has opened her home and facility to over 30 last-chance dogs from shelters and found good adoptive homes for them. Susan’s background is in Advertising and Marketing where she spent 15 years as a General Manager for the nation’s largest private multi-media company, Cox Communications. She believes that pets are a long term commitment being part of the family system, not a disposable commodity. Dee says she loves to “hang out with her pack” (her playful dogs, Taj, Zen, Maeve, and Kali) for relaxation.

She spent one month working at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah and came home to Seattle to continue working with local organizations. Through the store, she continues to be involved with local shelters and rescue groups, as well as running a successful adoption program.
