 Jennifer Kachnic is the author of the book Your Dog’s Golden Years – Manual for Senior Dog Care Including Natural Remedies and Complementary Options. She is a regular contributor to a variety of dog blogs, The Denver Dog Examiner and pet magazines including Bark, Mile High Dog and Animal Wellness. Jennifer owns Canine Wellness, LLC in Colorado providing dog training as well as natural and alternative wellness therapies for senior dogs. She is a certified Canine Massage Therapist, Animal Reiki Practitioner and a Certified Therapy Dog Handler with American Humane Association.
Jennifer has raised and trained service dogs for Canine Companions for Independence for the last ten years. She has volunteered for numerous local animal shelters and fostered hundreds of dogs through the years.
Jennifer also teaches dog care classes at Colorado Free University in Denver and provides animal wellness workshops in the Denver area.
She lives in Bailey, Colorado with her husband , John, Louie, a senior St. Bernard, and two released CCI dogs, Claude and Nekia.
