Executive Director
Lisa Lunghofer, Ph.D., is the Executive Director for The Grey Muzzle Organization. She is also Executive Director of Making Good Work and has 20 years of experience working with public sector and nonprofit clients, helping them to create strategic plans, develop logic models, write winning grant proposals, build successful programs, develop evaluation plans, and track outcomes. She has worked extensively in the areas of animal welfare, the human-animal bond, violence prevention, and child and family well-being.

Jennifer Kachnic
President
Jennifer Kachnic is the author of the book Your Dog’s Golden Years – Manual for Senior Dog Care Including Natural Remedies and Complementary Options. She is a regular contributor to a variety of dog blogs, The Denver Dog Examiner and pet magazines including The Bark, Mile High Dog, Natural Awakenings and Animal Wellness. She is a certified canine massage therapist, animal Reiki practitioner, and a certified therapy dog handler with American Humane Association.

Vice-President
Jessica Rothfuss is the Vice-President for The Grey Muzzle Organization. Prior to this position, she served the organization as Facebook Manager for several years.

Treasurer
Lindsay Nuismer is the Treasurer for the Grey Muzzle Organization. She is a Certified Public Accountant and works as a Financial Analyst at Sempra Energy.

Katie Parker
Grants Chair
Katie Parker has worked in the animal welfare field for 7 years. She began her career working in animal shelters and has worked as an animal welfare inspector with the Colorado State Veterinarian’s office.

Denise Fleck
Secretary
Denise Fleck is an award-winning author, animal care instructor and radio show host who developed the curriculum for her Pet First-Aid & CPCR Classes after training with dozens of schools and organizations, practicing, attending seminars and practicing some more.

Mark Casias
Board Member
Mark came to The Grey Muzzle Organization via Mediacurrent for the A11y Accessibility Challenge in 2015 and was so happy with the cause, he joined the Board to help along. He lives in New Mexico along with his dog, Dru. Mark is a Senior Drupal Developer for Mediacurrent and in his spare time, he enjoys playing hockey and tennis.

Cindra Gendron
Board Member
Cindy Gendron is the most recent addition to The Grey Muzzle Organization’s Board of Directors. Cindy is the Manager of The Homes for Horses Coalition, a national coalition of horse rescues and sanctuaries supported by the ASPCA, Animal Welfare Institute and The Humane Society of the United States.

Renee Reinke
Board Member
Renee Reinke has worked across various roles in technology for over 20 years and has cultivated expertise in coalition building and leading team success. She has always had a passion for helping animals and enjoys the opportunity to contribute business acumen to the non-profit mission. She has been an active volunteer in both large and small animal rescue organizations and currently volunteers for both a Doberman Rescue organization and PawsCo.
